Christmas is definitely on the way and now it is the time to start to get organised.
This is a time that competition for business is very high and you need to make yourself standout amongst your competitors.
However, instead of just searching for new customers, ensure you are looking after those you already have. We all understand that customer satisfaction and retention is paramount to a successful business. I recently read that by retaining 5% of your client base you can increase your profits by between 25-125%. Ultimately, it is much more cost, and time effective, to look after the clients you have, rather than continually searching for new ones.
So, in today’s digital age where everything has become a little less personal, why not stand out and go ‘retro’. I am sure we all look forward to something interesting coming through the letter box rather than junk mail and bills? Make your customers feel special this year and send a physical Christmas card rather than an e-card or a generic ‘Merry Christmas’ on Social Media? You could even make them feel extra special by including a little gift or voucher that could be used in January?
After all, loyal customers, don’t just come back, they don’t simply recommend you, they insist that their friends do business with you!

Make sure that your database is up to date and in the correct format to perform a mail merge – it makes printing labels a lot easier, quicker and saves hand writing them all!
